havent "blogged" in quite a while.. not had much to say really..
leaving for europe on friday (woo)
its weird, coz im not even that excited.. i mean, i get excited on the day, but apart from that, i dont give it much thought.
you wouldnt even know it was christmas, by the looks of our house. coz we're going away, there's not really much point in putting up decorations, since no one would see them.

im quite pleased with the way it turned out. purple does seem to suit me, even if i do say so myself :D
yes, well at the moment im half way through getting my clothes together, to put into my suitcase.. god i hate packing. usually i just shove some clothes in a bag and that's it - no planning whatsoever!
mum is a much more organised person.. she lives to plan. w.t.f?
we have such clashing personalities.. maybe that's why i fight with my parents all the time.

ok, it seems to work, but you have to push it down slightly harder than you probably would for any of the other keys. i think a small, circular piece of cardboard got stuck in the groove between the key and the keyboard. =.="

now, you might be thinking: yea, whats the big deal? theyre just trainers..

i also want to get my ears pierced these holidays, before i go overseas..
that's another thing im looking forward to - a 6 week holiday in europe :D
we're going to spain, morocco, france, and the uk.. then singapore on the way back. we leave on boxing day and get back on jan 25th.
i bought some purple hair fudge the other day, so im gonna use that at some stage to dye my hair purple. well.. the name of the dye is "blueberry hill" anyways... so that should be interesting. lol

everyone looked really nice with their dresses and hats/fascinators.
it was good to meet some of her friends from her old school. they were all very nice indeed.

as you can tell im completely over school and am wishing the week to move quickly.
unfortunately that is almost impossible, as the school has ensured maximum annoyance for all by placing the Celebration of Excellence at the not-so-convenient time of 6:30pm, finishing at 8:30pm. this means that we also are required to attend school that day.

well that's exactly what everyone else is thinking.. and you're right. there is no point whatsoever.

anyway, getting back to what i was saying..
although there's only two more days of hell - i mean.. school..
its still a bloody pain in the arse that we needa be there, even though we're not doing anything.
if only i wasnt winning any awards.. i might then be able to escape the horror of all the awarding and applauding and singing and playing of instruments, etc..
but then.. even if i didnt go, i'd just be sitting at home anyway.
hm.. prize giving, or buggerising around at home.. oh the choice!
i'll just have to flip a coin and hope it somehow explodes and kills me.

but the point still stands that everything from now until the end of school is a waste of time..
zomg! had to take all my old books home 2day.. i made the mistake of taking them all home at once. weighed a bloody ton they did! AND i had to go home on the train and bus =.="
still pissed off that we have to move lockers 2morrow. i like my locker where it is!!
guess they dont take stuff like that into account - that would be WAY too convenient.. and we'll have none of that!

has the style "jesus" come back into fashion? yes. yes it has.

SKSK gig was pretty cool.. not one of the best ive ever been to, but enjoyable all the same.

i slept over flick's house last night (saturday), which was good coz it finished kinda late, and i live kinda far away from her house, so it would have been a nightmare to get home..

the venue was surprisingly good - it was at the Roundhouse, UNSW. basically, as the name suggests, its just a round room. no seats, just a mosh pit.
i reckon it was good, coz flick and i edged our way right up to the front, where we were then about.. a metre away from the bands :D

it was confusing though, coz the first band that came on, we thought was Haste The Day.. but then, when Halifax came on.. they said "are you guys ready for Haste The Day and Scary Kids Scaring Kids!?"
and i thought, that's weird - why would they say that if Haste The Day had already played?
then, after Halifax, this other band came on stage, which i thought was gonna be SKSK.. but then when the lights came on.. it was a different band. and when they started playing, we figured out that it was actually Haste The Day.
which then posed the question: who the hell was the first band?!

but yes, then SKSK came on and i was literally right in front of the keyboardist...
ZOMG!! IM TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH HIM!! HE'S SO CUTE! :3
i got kinda annoyed though, coz we were sorta on the side of the mosh pit (even though we were at the front).. and where we were, nobody was dancing or anything, which made it completely awkward for us to dance... especially coz there was this one guy, leaning against the railing, and taking up the space, equivalent of about two people.. it was rather annoying..
but all in all, i thought it was coolness..
incase you're wondering - SKSK played: Degenerates, Faces, Holding On, The Deep End, My Darkest Hour, and two other songs from their first album..

the weird thing about this gig was that the majority of band members (from all the bands) had hair like jesus.. dont know why.
the lead singer of the first band was basically jesus, re-incarnated! he had a beard and long hair, and he wore like a white robey thingy.. it was WEIRD!

on the way to the gig, flick and i were talking about the bottle of hand sanitiser she'd brought in her bag.. this was the conversation (more or less)..
F: its called Aloe Vera Detol Hand Sanitiser..
C: does it smell like aloe vera?
F: i duno...*smells hand* not really..
C: let me smell...*smells hand* you're right..
F: it just smells like detol..
C: so really, its not aloe vera.. its just detol?
F: yea.
C: all they've done is put the word "aloe vera" in front of it..
F: maybe they think it makes it sound more pleasant?
C: if that were the case, then i could put "aloe vera" in front of anything, and make it sound more pleasant.. like.. aloe vera homework. or... aloe vera mrs griffiths..
F: doesnt really work..
C: no.. not really.. theyre theory is flawed.

we then proceeded to think of numerous examples - some of which were quite amusing.. the favourite example being: aloe vera capsicum spray. that way, you're eyes would sting, but at least it would smell nice... xD
there were other examples, but i shant get into that.
there are, of course, two exceptions: aloe vera mrs christie. and aloe vera avenged sevenfold.
they will never be pleasant.

house arts auditions were on 2dai.. it was for the vocal section
lulu and i auditioned.. lulu played the piano and i sang (omg)
it was so scary! everyone was lookin at me.. and i think i started shaking!

and ppl kept coming up and bombarding me with all these comments... even ppl in other houses! (wtf)
im like: how did you even hear about that?!
but yea..
kinda hoping i didnt get in, just so i dont have to sing infront of the whole school (argh)
lulu was AMAZING! she learnt the song by ear! i was so proud :D
but yes.. roanna and lana were great - they did a duet with a guitar.. both of them sang
i was rly impressed.. and i voted for them
beth was fantastic!! she sang without any music, which was pretty brave of her
nice work beth! :D

none of those shows are on now! :(
also, im in dispair coz i really wanna go to Soundwave '09... but its too expensive, tix are probly all sold out, and we would have just come back from overseas! :(
im also sad coz BFMV are playing at the Big Day Out '09 and we have a family friend who had a spare ticket, but we wont be back from europe by that time, so im gonna miss it =.="

on the 22nd Flick and I are going to see SKSK at the Roundhouse, uni of NSW :D

wow, so much to tell now..

first it was my 70's party on the 20th september ----> that was rly fun! pretty much everyone made an effort to dress up in 70's clothes, and we had heaps of 70's music to dance to :D

there was heaps of food and it was pretty much devoured by the end of the night!

hope everyone had a good time!

ah! the formal! how could i forget!

so yea, the yr 10 formal was on friday night (26th september)

it was ace! :D

i didnt rly know what to expect, but it turned out rly well! everyone looked spectacular! and the hall was rly nicely decorated too

the food was.... average, but the cake was great!

lol, as expected.. the music was... not to my liking, but i got up and danced a few times nevertheless..

my parter, Dan, said he had a great time too. he was a nice guy :)

apparently there were about 70 girls and 35 guys LOL!

but yea, i think everyone had a good time anyways :D

impulse update

ok.. ive become so bored that ive resorted to updating my blog.. isnt that sad...

woot! exams are almost over! score! man, ive been so stressed out recently coz of all this bloody studying and all that crap.. it makes me more hungry (than usual).. probly not a good thing.

omg, the drama exam rly pissed me off 2dai! like, firstly.. we had been told that it was gonna be long.. but not fukin so long that you can'ne even finish the damn thing!

like, we didnt even get any reading time coz ms cameron decided that we could just start when we got there... so we didnt know what to expect. EVEN THOUGH our drama teacher told us that we should use our reading time wisely so that we knew what to expect.. WHAT FRIKKIN READING TIME!?!

on the front of the booklet it said 5 sections. count them! 5!! so i was quietly confident when i got to the 5th section and we still had 10 mins left.. im thinkin: this is good.. it wasnt THAT hard..

and then i turn the page and find that theres ANOTHER FRIKKIN SECTION!!! wtf?!

and by that time i had only just started the 5th section, so i didnt even have time to START the fukin 6th one!! so that means that ive lost 10 marks off the whole thing just coz i didnt get time to do the last part!!! typical!!

and i know what you're thinkin now: oh, but you should have managed your time better...

no i fukin shouldnt have!! my time was well spent - ANSWERING ALL THE OTHER BLOODY QUESTIONS!! and they didnt even have multiple choice or anythin.. it was all either short or long answer questions.. if they wanted ppl to complete the damn thing, why didnt they make it a more reasonable length?!

argh, and i thought it was gonna be ok coz im not actually that bad at drama.. the theory part is always easy.. but no! stupid bloody exam had to fuck it all up!!

and dont even get me started on the maths test! bloody non-calculator questions always screw with my brain... even the core section was confusing.. but ive come to realise that, no matter how hard i study or how hard i try, im always gonna fail in science and maths... so why try?

on the opposite hand... for some stupid reason the science test was the easiest one ever... WHAT? THATS NOT HOW IT GOES! SCIENCE IS ALWAYS HARD!! and the thing that gives me the shits is that i spent agesss studying (the night before) just to rock up and find that it wasnt rly worth all that time spent because the bloody thing was so damn easy!

only one more to go now.. THANK GOD!!!!

cept its frikkin PD... who's idea was it anyway that we would have a PD exam... what the hell are they gonna test us on??

and then after that... IM FREE!

well... that is AFTER tournament of the minds.... bloody take-up-every-day-of-my-life bloody thing! i dont even think we're gonna be finished by the day we're meant to perform... we havent even got the script done for christ sake!

exams werent actually that bad today.. i thought it'd be like.. all crappy and everything, but i think i did ok on them...

woot! that was my only day where i had 3 exams! now its all ones and twos till the end of the week...then its PARTAY!!

in other news!

...TOM is pretty disasterous.. the two yr 7 minions are pains in the arse coz, instead of actually doing any work, theyre buggerising around and annoying the rest of us who are actually putting in an effort to get some work done! thanks to the two yr 8's we've got costumes and some props done (thanx guys!)..

and then there's us yr 10's who are busy with the script.

mrs (satan) christie isnt being very helpful by calling random meetings every five minutes so that we can listen to her prattle on and state the obvious while wasting a hell of a lot of time.. everyone in the room was pissed coz the actual thing is next weekend and im pretty sure nobody is even near finished...

so thanx to satan's extreme lack of organisational skills, we all have to rush around and try to finish our performances.. she even wants us to do some spontanious challenges through the week to get us ready for the real thing. well THANX ALOT BUT WE DONT HAVE THE TIME!!

geez.. you'd think that she'd realise that some of us have either exams or prior commitments to go to this week! but NO! SHE'S A DUMBASS!

woot! went to newtown with Raynor 2dai looked round all the retro stores.

man, i love newtown - so many vintage things :D

anyways, bought this awesome pair of aviator sunglasses and a purple shirt from the 70's..

for my 16th, im having a 70's themed party, so im lookin for some retro gear to wear.. (probly not the sunnies, but anyways)

im definitely going back there closer to my b'day.. loveeee the old shirts and coats..

and i really wanna go back to the retro furniture stores! there was this old phone (one of the circular dial ones) and it was all silver and shiney.. b-e-a-utifl! shame i didnt have $250 though =.="

there were also some other cool things like old radios and tvs and stuff.. it was madass

urgh, i really hate being sick. but then again, i dont know anyone who actually enjoys having a cold. can you imagine that? "oh goodie! i just love not being able to smell, taste, breathe, or talk! and i just adore having a headache every five minutes! i wonder what i can not-do today! maybe i'll miss out on hanging out with my friends, or seeing a good movie! yes! thankyou bacteria!"

wah! exams soon! im really not looking forward to spending all of my time outside school on studying everything we've learnt from the passed year or so. man, thats a hell of a lot of french and science revision... and dont even get me started on the history!

at the moment, im mourning the fact that all the good bands never come out to Australia.. i think that would be my one and only reason to move to America. i was watching an ad for Projekt Revolution (Linkin Park, Atreyu, The Bravery, Chris Cornell, Ashes Divide, 10 Years, Hawthorne Heights, Armour for Sleep, Street Drum Corps) and i soooo wish it would come here! i would soooo go!

actually, im kinda tempted to move to the UK. one: because i love it there, and two: because they also get good bands touring there. im pretty sure Fall Out Boy is playing there soon. damn! i wanna go to that gig!

im also in the mood to eat Oreos and go CD shopping... my CD list is pretty sizable at the moment and currently comprises of: Meriwether, The Audition, Chiodos, Cute is what we aim for, Pensive, Atreyu, Seether, Capital Lights, The Wombats, Circa Survive, Secret and Whisper, and Dead Poetic. now all i need is a wallet full of money with which to buy them all..

i was watching some of the Tropfest finalist short films the other day, and ive now come up with my own idea for a short film, entitled "Don't Feed the Birds". i wont go into any detail bout it, incase all you bastards decide to take my idea, in which case i would be severely pissed off.. havent quite got round to drawing a storyboard for it yet, but its a work in progress, so yar...

OMG!
last night Flick and I went to see Bullet for my Valentine, Atreyu, Avenged Sevenfold, and Behind Crimson Eyes play at the Horden Pavillion. it was SO AWESOME! :D
we're both BFMV and Atreyu fans, so it was great! although we didnt know some of the songs from BFMV's latest album, it was still good. the mosh pit was kinda tame, considering it was a heavy metal concert, lol!
i was surprised to see that we were nearly the youngest people there! :P
most of the people there were around 17-25, so yar.
lol, just before atreyu came on, this really tall dude with a massive moehawk came up to us and asked us a question, and i SWEAR i heard him say: "can i have your wallet?" and then flick goes: "yea!" and hes like: "awesome! high-five!" and then he high-fived us both and then walked off. when he was gone, i asked flick what he said and she goes: "are you guys here for Bullet [for my valentine]?" LOL! well how was i meant to know what he said?? the word "Bullet" sounds like "Wallet"! :P
and even though we couldnt even see the stage most of the time (coz of all the tall ppl) it was still really fun! <3
only problem was that we had a maths test the next morning, which sucked coz i was totally dead :/
lol, and avenged sevenfold deffinately overstayed their welcome, coz even after they played their last song and left the stage, everyone started cheering (flick and i were cheering coz we dont really like A7X), and then they came back and played another song! well, even though i dont really like them, i have to admit - they know how to entertain a crowd..
there was also this really good looking guy sitting next to flick when we were listening to A7X, lol! it was wierd though, coz he look just like Bernard Black (from Black Books) and that is one person who i DEFFINATELY wouldnt count as being hot.. lol
but anyways, it was awesome!
now im waiting for either Chiodos, Emery, Scary kids scaring kids, Pierce the veil, or even BFMV and Atreyu (again) to come to aus, coz i am SOOOO THERE!! <3

homework rant.

damn. school again.

i don't think two weeks is really enough time to recover from last term.. and just when you're getting all relaxed, its time for the next term! and anyway, what's the point of holidays if we get homework during those two weeks, as well as getting homework during the term? you may as well just call it a very long weekend :/

thats what i really hate about our school holidays - they're not really holidays at all!

i don't understand why teachers give out so much homework and assignments and stuff, and then complain about having to mark it all in their spare time! "well, if you didn't give us so much homework in the first place, then MAYBE you wouldn't have to spend so much time marking it all!"

i understand the point of assignments, because they show how well we can work independently and how well we can research, etc... but homework is completely pointless! i mean, it makes EVERYONE miserable, there's no incentive to do it, and its never really working towards anything at all!

for all those who don't understand what i mean, let me explain:

firstly, we receive the homework (which is bad enough), then we go home and procrastinate for a while... (this could take anything from 1 hour, to a few days)

so then, if we decide that we're going to rebel and don't do the assigned homework, then we're punished by either another serving of homework, or a detention (or both). however, if we're feeling rather organised and decided to actually complete the homework... the next day we're then rewarded by YET ANOTHER long list of homework to do!

its really just a lose-lose situation, and it's absolutely impossible to win!

my advice: express your utter annoyance at every possible interval.

Random piece of advice for the day = NEVER GO TO SEE THE MOVIE "FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL"!! ... it is one of the most crude, unfunny movies i have ever had the misfortune of watching. i walked in, expecting to see a romantic comedy, and walked out, feeling nothing but disgust and rather disturbed. apart from the fact that there was little, if any, plot whatsoever, as far as I'm concerned, it is just an excuse for a few people to legally screen mild porn and make money while they're at it! i am displeased at the lack of warning i received prior to watching the film, and i certainly won't be seeing it a second time, or buying the dvd.

on the first tuesday of the holidays, our group all went down to strathfield park to hang out and play sports, eat, etc...
it was pretty cool, coz there were so many of us and EVERYONE brought food :D (yay! food!)

for all those who know what I'm talking about and/or care:
just last night, i quit my job at the bakery. AND IVE NEVER FELT SO RELIEVED!!
i think I'll just get another part time job when I'm another year older, coz then I'll be able to work in a music store (that would be so cool!)
so I'm finally free of the evil clutches of my boss! :D
even though it sux that i wont have as much money on a regular basis anymore, i can honestly say that I'll be happy for those afternoons free on a Wednesday, Friday and Saturday! :D
but, now that I've finished giving you all an update on my life..I'm gonna go do some of the awful hw and assignments I've got hanging over my head. :/
