homework rant.

damn. school again.

i don't think two weeks is really enough time to recover from last term.. and just when you're getting all relaxed, its time for the next term! and anyway, what's the point of holidays if we get homework during those two weeks, as well as getting homework during the term? you may as well just call it a very long weekend :/

thats what i really hate about our school holidays - they're not really holidays at all!

i don't understand why teachers give out so much homework and assignments and stuff, and then complain about having to mark it all in their spare time! "well, if you didn't give us so much homework in the first place, then MAYBE you wouldn't have to spend so much time marking it all!"

i understand the point of assignments, because they show how well we can work independently and how well we can research, etc... but homework is completely pointless! i mean, it makes EVERYONE miserable, there's no incentive to do it, and its never really working towards anything at all!

for all those who don't understand what i mean, let me explain:

firstly, we receive the homework (which is bad enough), then we go home and procrastinate for a while... (this could take anything from 1 hour, to a few days)

so then, if we decide that we're going to rebel and don't do the assigned homework, then we're punished by either another serving of homework, or a detention (or both). however, if we're feeling rather organised and decided to actually complete the homework... the next day we're then rewarded by YET ANOTHER long list of homework to do!

its really just a lose-lose situation, and it's absolutely impossible to win!

my advice: express your utter annoyance at every possible interval.

Random piece of advice for the day = NEVER GO TO SEE THE MOVIE "FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL"!! ... it is one of the most crude, unfunny movies i have ever had the misfortune of watching. i walked in, expecting to see a romantic comedy, and walked out, feeling nothing but disgust and rather disturbed. apart from the fact that there was little, if any, plot whatsoever, as far as I'm concerned, it is just an excuse for a few people to legally screen mild porn and make money while they're at it! i am displeased at the lack of warning i received prior to watching the film, and i certainly won't be seeing it a second time, or buying the dvd.

on the first tuesday of the holidays, our group all went down to strathfield park to hang out and play sports, eat, etc...
it was pretty cool, coz there were so many of us and EVERYONE brought food :D (yay! food!)
anywaysss.. even though im not really much of a sports person, i had fun anyway coz i just like hanging out with my friends <3

well, I've now discovered a new (but not so new) anime called Fruits Basket.

I thought it would be really gay, because of the name, but it's not!

I urge all who read this to go watch it!

my fave character is deffinately Kyou! <3

hey, i decided to update my blog (finally), but now that I'm here.. I've got nothing new to say..

I'm so glad that it's nearly holidays :D

I think I'm just gonna kick back, relax, and catch up on some anime watching! :P

well, it wouldn't make much of a difference, because I've ALWAYS got a song stuck in my head.. even when I haven't even listened to it in a while..

for all those who know what I'm talking about and/or care:
just last night, i quit my job at the bakery. AND IVE NEVER FELT SO RELIEVED!!
i think I'll just get another part time job when I'm another year older, coz then I'll be able to work in a music store (that would be so cool!)
so I'm finally free of the evil clutches of my boss! :D
even though it sux that i wont have as much money on a regular basis anymore, i can honestly say that I'll be happy for those afternoons free on a Wednesday, Friday and Saturday! :D
but, now that I've finished giving you all an update on my life..I'm gonna go do some of the awful hw and assignments I've got hanging over my head. :/

okai, so here's my new blog-thingy..(yay) yar.. anyways, not really much to say at the moment. i'm a little annoyed right now coz my fave show (Life on Mars) has just ended, so i've got nothing to watch now (until the new series of Doctor Who comes on TV).
